Fibre optic installer, electrician (Federal VET Diploma), construction electrician (Federal VET Diploma), master electrician (Advanced Federal Diploma), project manager, ICT technician – six professions working on the same sites at Technik Partner: from Network Level 4 to the data centre.

Fibre optic installer

You build Network Level 4 – from the building entry point to the optical telecommunications outlet in every residential or commercial unit.

Responsibilities

  • Splice the network operator’s fibres at the BEP in the basement
  • Cable the riser, install floor distributors, use the cable routes already in place in existing buildings
  • Install an OTO in every unit – four fibres per unit
  • Test every fibre, prepare the test report, document the OTO-ID

Requirements

  • Training in a skilled trade or experience in network construction
  • A careful approach to splicing and testing – you will learn both in our team
  • Assignments in housing developments and commercial buildings across Switzerland, both new and existing

Electrician (Federal VET Diploma)

You install power and ELV systems, distribution boards and charging infrastructure – in residential, service-sector and industrial buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Build and connect distribution boards – in new builds and as replacements in existing buildings, in stages
  • Install charging infrastructure with load management in underground car parks
  • Make the electrical connections for PV systems, battery storage and charging stations
  • Prepare for acceptance: measurements for the safety certificate under the Low-Voltage Installation Ordinance (NIV)

Requirements

  • Completed apprenticeship as an electrician (Federal VET Diploma)
  • Reading circuit diagrams and plans, working neatly in distribution boards and plant rooms
  • Assignments across Switzerland, including in occupied buildings with interruptions announced in advance

Construction electrician (Federal VET Diploma)

You carry out installations to plan: conduits and trunking, cable pulling, devices, connections – in new builds and occupied existing buildings alike.

Responsibilities

  • Pull cables, fit conduits and trunking, install cable trays
  • Fit and connect sockets, switches, light fittings and devices
  • Install charging stations, wallboxes and PV components to plan
  • ELV: network outlets, Cat 6A cabling, door intercoms

Requirements

  • Completed apprenticeship as a construction electrician (Federal VET Diploma)
  • Working to plan, physically fit for cable pulling and installation work on ladders
  • Assignments across Switzerland in new builds, conversions and occupied existing buildings

Master electrician (Advanced Federal Diploma)

You hold technical responsibility for our electrical installations – as the qualified person under the NIV.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the qualified person behind the installation permit and take technical charge of the work
  • Plan and cost projects and deliver them with the project managers
  • Carry out final inspections and issue safety certificates
  • Provide technical supervision for installers and electricians

Requirements

  • Advanced Federal Diploma as a master electrician or as an electrical installation and safety expert
  • Qualified person status under the NIV, experience in planning and inspection
  • Assignments across Switzerland, office in Zurich

Project manager

You run projects from site visit to acceptance – as the single contact person for the client, network operator, property manager and team.

Responsibilities

  • Site visit: survey risers, distribution boards, installations and supply cables on site
  • Prepare the quotation with scope of services, materials, schedule and stages
  • Coordinate with the network operator, property manager and other trades
  • Acceptance: hand over test reports, the safety certificate and documentation

Requirements

  • Technical training in electrical engineering, telecommunications or network construction, plus experience on construction sites
  • Costing quotations, planning schedules, taking responsibility for costs and compliance records
  • Clear communication on the phone, in tenant notices and in the acceptance report

ICT technician

You build networks for companies and public administrations: structured cabling, racks, switches, Wi-Fi, servers and IP telephony.

Responsibilities

  • Install and test structured cabling in Cat 6A copper and OM4/OS2 fibre
  • Set up racks, patch panels, switches and Wi-Fi
  • Install and support servers, clients and backup
  • Set up IP phone systems, migrate legacy systems, port existing numbers

Requirements

  • Training in IT or telematics (Federal VET Diploma) or equivalent experience
  • Networking fundamentals: VLANs, IP addressing, Wi-Fi, structured cabling
  • On-site assignments at companies and public administrations – in office buildings, comms rooms and server rooms
