Monitoring & supervision
In a data centre, an outage gives advance warning: the supply air temperature rises, an outgoing circuit draws more current than the week before, there is water under the raised floor. Monitoring makes these early signs visible before they turn into a fault.
We place the sensors where deviations appear first: current measurement per outgoing circuit and per rack PDU, temperature and humidity per cold aisle, leak sensors under the raised floor and along the pipework. We integrate access events via the access control system’s interface.

Every measuring point is given a threshold and an alarm path. Alarms are sent by SMS, email or alarm transmission to the on-call service – yours, or ours if there is a service contract. Every path is triggered once before handover and the result recorded.
Readings come together in a dashboard and, if you run a DCIM system, are passed to it via an interface. Reports show trends over weeks and months – the basis for capacity decisions, not only for troubleshooting.
Scope of services
Full scope of services: from the measuring point concept to reporting.
- Services
- Measuring point concept, sensors for power, temperature, humidity and leaks, access events, alerting, dashboard, DCIM interface, reports
- Clients
- Data centre operators, IT managers, operators of critical facilities that need retrofitting
- Records
- Alarm test report for each notification path, documented measuring point plan, operator training
- Alarm paths
- SMS, email, alarm transmission to the operator’s on-call service – or to ours, for customers with a service contract
- Typical applications
- New-build data halls, server rooms in administrative buildings, retrofits in existing facilities
What we measure – and why
- Power
- Load per outgoing circuit and per rack PDU; shows phase imbalance and spare capacity before an expansion.
- Temperature
- Supply air per cold aisle and exhaust air per row; rising values reveal airflow faults early.
- Humidity
- Air that is too dry encourages static discharge; air that is too humid, condensation on cold surfaces.
- Leaks
- Sensors on the pipework and in the raised floor report water before it reaches live equipment.
- Access
- Who opened which door and when – recorded as an event in the same log as the readings.
